SOMERSET, AUGUST 9: International Master IM Koneru Humpy of India created a flutter defeating a highly rated British IM Pert Nicholas Elo 2455 here on Wednesday. Humpy employed her favourite English opening to post victory in 41 moves.

Current Under-Asian 10 girls champion VK Sindhu drew her game against James Snowden. Facing the Slav defence Sindhu missed a winning conbination in the middlegame before the game petered into a positional draw.
