8226; The Supreme Court is right in issuing a notice to Zaheera Sheikh for constantly changing her stand and causing impediments in the course of justice. With the courts serving as irrefutable instruments for upholding the law, the foremost duty of the subject seeking justice is to earnestly cooperate with them till justice is done. Remember, any crime committed is always held against a society/state per se. Regrettably, Sheikh has chosen to overlook this. If, as an aftermath of Zaheera8217;s stances, the guilty go unpunished, she should be held equally culpable as them. It8217;s a cruelty to the victims if the guilty go unpunished and it8217;s not her individual conjunction but the interests of society at large that is at issue. She and others who8217;ve flip-flopped must be made to realise this urgently.

Nayar and Advani
8226; Kuldip Nayar has asked L.K. Advani when will he and the Hindutva forces realise that India has changed 8216;In a make-believe world8217;, IE, Dec 7. I want to ask Nayar this: when will you change? Yes, India is changing. Hindus are sick and tired of minority politics and have started organising themselves as a force to reckon with. Why does Nayar keep lecturing Hindus about 8216;pluralism8217; and 8216;composite culture8217; and the like? Has he any idea what the proselytising Christian missionaries are up to in the country? And, does he think that
Muslims are contributing to 8216;composite culture8217;?

8226; Kuldip Nayar8217;s article, 8216;In a make-believe world8217; IE, Dec 7, was an excellent, outstanding piece of journalism and a perfect pychoanalysis of L.K. Advani and the BJP. The writer has correctly remarked that both Advani and the BJP must realise that India has changed and it is a pluralistic society with various identities. They should also come to the 21st century leaving behind the last century. It is causes strong aversion to know that Advani, as deputy PM, nominated to the NHRC the CBI director who withdrew the case involving him in the Babri Masjid demolition. Comparison of his rath yatras with Mahatma8217;s Salt March is laughable. His talks of divine rule is equally ridiculous.

8226; I am no fan of L.K. Advani but I do not appreciate the blind bashing of Advani done by Kuldip Nayar. Everybody saw television footage of an arrogant Uma Bharati attacking the BJP president. It was unacceptable behaviour by any standards. I cannot understand how Kuldip Nayar can justify Uma8217;s behaviour.
