DAV School win

NEW DELHI, Sept 9: DAV Public School, Pitampura, overcame St Joseph8217;s High School 2-1 after a gruelling battle in the Subroto Mukherjee Cup football tournament.

DAV School took lead through Khokan in the 45th minute. Five minutes later, Mukesh added another to their tally. St Joseph8217;s reduced the margin in the 56th minute through Ashif. In other matches, Govt High School, Dimapur Nagaland defeated MCC High School, Calicut Kerala 5-0. Mengu 15th, 17th, 55th, Vikuzu 37th and Imti 45th were the scorers.

Khamasom Govt High School, Ukral Manipur defeated Saini Sr Sec School, Rewari Haryana 5-0. Zamik 26th,59th, Wungshunggam 3rd, Dinesh Kumar 19th and Basanta Kumar 15th scored.

Six teams that have qualified for quarter-finals are Meghalaya, Car Nicobar, Assam, West Bengal, Manipur and Sukanta Nagar SAI.
