Security for Parneet demanded
Patiala: The Punjab National Muslim Council has appealed to the President of India to order for providing adequate security to Congress candidate from Patiala, Parneet Kaur. The president of the Council said that because of her popularity among the masses, there was a threat to her life and she must be provided security till the declaration of results.

55 students donate blood at camp
Patiala: About 55 students of the National Service Scheme of Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology donated blood during a blood donation camp organised by the blood bank of Government Rajindra Hospital here.

Poetry through graphics
Patiala: A workshop on graphics on modern Punjabi poetry has been organised by the Department of Fine Arts, Punjabi University, Patiala. Teachers of affiliated colleges and students of fine arts are participating in the workshop. Poems of 10 major poets were translated through lines and colours today. The workshop will continue till September 10.
