
Three cases of theft
As many as three cases of thefts were reported from different parts of the city on Thursday. According to the Fatehgunj police, unidentified miscreants decamped with a briefcase, containing cash of Rs 40,000, from the house of one Diwan Mansuri in Bhil Chal, Navayard. In the second case, one Jayesh C Madhani, a resident of Jamnagar, in a complaint with the police stated that unidentified miscreants stole a colour television worth about Rs 20,000 from his locked car parked in front of the Polytechnic college hall on Thursday evening. In the third incident in Sayajigunj area, a goat worth Rs 1,500 of one R Rajput was stolen by two youths who took it away in an autorickshaw, the police said.
Beaten up
A driver of a State Transport bus GJ-1-T-9494 was beaten up by three youths who came on a Hero Honda GJ-6-MM-5505, near Sant Kabir road. The driver Yasin R Sheikh in a complaint with the City police said he did not know why he was assaulted by the youths, who chased him from some distance and beat him up when he stopped at a busstand.
Kids caught
The Navapura police arrested four children on Wednesday around 6.30 pm on the suspicion that they stole valuables from purses of women by taking advantage of crowded streets. Police said Jyoti Charmar, 9, Gautam Charmar 9, Salu Chamar, 8, and Sonubhai Charmar, 4, all residents of Udyan Dudh Talav in Madhya Pradesh were caught from near Khanderao Market. While the children have yet not revealed anything, no valuables were recovered from them, the police added.
