PANCHKULA, Dec 1: An essay-writing competition was organised today by the Women Development Centre, Pinjore, on the occasion of World AIDS Day.The first prize winner was Rajender Kumar of Central School, HMT, Pinjore, while the second and third positions were bagged by Mohammad Azad and Aman Kumar of the same school respectively.
In the poster and slogan competition, Rukhmani Kunjithiya of Army School, Chandimandir, was first, Priyanka of the same school and Navdeep Singh, of Satluj Public School, were second and third, respectively.
Students8217; AIDS Cell formed
Dev Samaj College for Women, Sector 45, in association with the UT State AIDS Control Society, organised various contests to mark the World AIDS at the college here today.
History, spread and prevention of AIDS, gender dimension and poverty as cause were some of the topics for paper-reading contest. Ruby of BBA-I bagged the first prize, Kanika of BBA-I was second, while Harleen and Monika of B.Com-II won the third prize.
A Students8217; AIDS Cell was also formed on the occasion, informed Principal V. Bhargava.
