SURAT, Dec 2: The city unit of the Bajrang Dal began an indefinite fast in Varachha to protest against the failure of the police in arresting the killers of two school girls, whose bodies were recovered from Tadkeshwar, about 65 kms from here last week.
Seven activists undertook the relay fast from 8 am to 5 pm on Wednesday. The protest will continue till the arrest of the killers as also persons involved in other major crimes reported recently.
Close on the heels of the murder of the school girls another five-year-old boy was reported missing, the Dal said. It was surprising that the police were still searching for clues, leading to the arrest of the persons involved in such heinous crimes, it said.
