Lokesh Kanagaraj praises Leo’s cast and crew as he wraps Kashmir schedule of Vijay film: ‘Massive respect….’
The makers of Vijay-led Leo shared a video paying tribute to the people who work hard behind the camera to ensure the film's smooth shooting.

Filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj recently wrapped up the Kashmir schedule of his next film, Leo, starring actor Vijay in the lead role. While announcing the wrap of the schedule, the makers shared a video paying tribute to the people who work hard behind the camera to ensure a smooth shoot.
The video begins with some breathtaking views of the Kashmir Valley. A crew member reveals that the film’s team was unable to shoot on their first day in Kashmir due to unbearable weather conditions. Another man shared, “It is very difficult for us to work, our hands are going numb.” Kashmir’s temperature fell to -2 degrees at night when the team of Leo was shooting there.
But the extreme weather conditions never became a roadblock in the film’s shoot. “The night shoots are worse,” shared a crew member who mounts the camera on the rig. The video also showed the film’s crew members working even during rain. However, what kept them motivated was director Lokesh Kangaraj’s speed on the sets of the film. “Yes, we are all freezing working here, but watching the director’s speed makes us more active on sets. It automatically motivates us to strive harder,” a crew member revealed.
The people who handled the costumes of the junior artistes of the film also shared how it was difficult for them to even hold a needle. A Kashmiri localite also appreciated the people of Chennai who were working on Leo sets. “They have beaten our people with their working style,” said a localite. The crew members also faced language issues as the local people spoke only Kashmiri or Urdu.
A crew member who handled the cameras shared how some camera monitors had short circuits as raindrops seeped inside the cameras and it was difficult to keep them safe. But Lokesh Kanagaraj made sure that Leo’s shoot isn’t interrupted due to the weather conditions in Kashmir and his motto was, “If Plan A fails, we will have Plan B ready in hand.”
The video also featured actor Vijay as he shot in the valley. He also interacted with local people and military personnel there.
Lokesh shared the video on Twitter and wrote, “Massive respect to the cast and crew of #LEO who worked really hard no matter what, in the process of entertaining people. This tribute is for you all #TheCrewBehindLEO ❤️🙌🏻#KashmirScheduleWrap.”
Besides Vijay, Leo also stars Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Priya Anand, Mansoor Ali Khan, Sandy Master, and Mathew Thomas. The film marks the fifth collaboration of Vijay and Trisha, and the second one between Vijay and Lokesh after the superhit Master. The movie is speculated to be part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe along with Kaithi and Vikram.
