Panel for appointing administrator at NMV

The inquiry committee set up by the primary education officer of Zilla Parishad to look into the allegations of irregularities in Nutan Marathi Vidyalaya (NMV),a reputed school in the city,has recommended the appointment of an administrator.

The inquiry committee set up by the primary education officer of Zilla Parishad to look into the allegations of irregularities in Nutan Marathi Vidyalaya (NMV),a reputed school in the city,has recommended the appointment of an administrator.

Committee chairman KD Bhujbal,in his report,recommended the appointment of an administrator,saying that the Shikshan Prasarak Mandali,the parent organisation of NMV,has no control over the school. When contacted,primary education officer S N Pandhare confirmed that his office had submitted the report to the deputy director. The report also says that the chief of the education department of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) should probe the allegations of financial irregularities. The deputy director of education department has accepted the report.

Organisations had raised allegations about irregularities in the NMV School in thae past two years. After repeated complaints about the school principal and financial irregularities,the deputy director of education had asked the primary education officer to inquire into the allegations on January 13. The Bhujbal committee submitted its report recently.
