Keeping children entertained seems to be the focus of the holidays. The Max Muller Bhavan and the Theatre Academy,Pune,have organised ‘The Grips Festival 2011’ till May 19 at NMV High School. This children’s theatre festival will consist of 12 plays,including Nako Re Baba,Mitra Maze,Chan Chote Vait Mothe,Project Aditi,Aai Pan Baba Pan,Pan Amhala Khelaychay,Rastyache Gane and Pahile Paan,which will be staged at 7 pm everyday. Children will connect to the plays as they depict issues related to their lives like separation and remarriage of parents,getting bullied and ragged,and even their perspective of a solution to communal riots. Well-known theatre and film personality Dr Mohan Agashe initiated the Grips Theatre in Pune,which is presently managed by the Maharashtra Cultural Centre. The plays and performances have received good responses in Bengaluru,Kolkata,Delhi and Maharashtra.
