(Representational/File) The Anti-Narcotic Cell (ANC) of the Goa Police Sunday arrested an Italian disk jockey (DJ) and his associate, and seized 50 gram each of LSD liquid and charas from their possession.
According to the police, the Italian national, Michael Lawrence Steffenoni, 32, popularly known as DJ Bobblehead, is among the top names in the psy-party circuit in Goa and has been working as a resident DJ in a popular night club in Vagator in North Goa.
Bossuet Silva, SP, Anti-Narcotic cell, said, “Probe has found that the accused DJ was scheduled to headline two shows at two night clubs in Anjuna and Vagator area on September 2 and 3. It is also suspected that the contraband was brought by the DJ for sale and distribution at the events where he was supposed to headline.”
The police said ANC officials mounted surveillance on the Italian DJ after a tip-off. A raid was conducted at the rented premises of the Italian national in Assagao Sunday, said the police, adding that an accomplice of the DJ, identified as Neil Walter, 28, was also arrested during the raid.
