Shaadi.com founder Anupam Mittal offered his support to Nepal cricketer Lalit Rajbanshi. The Nepal cricket team participated in the ongoing Asia Cup, where they were in a tough group with India and Pakistan. Nevertheless, Nepal put on a brave show against India, scoring 230 runs while batting first. While they couldn’t beat their much-fancied opponents, the tournament gave them a platform to test themselves.
Lalit Rajbanshi, a player of the team, recently said he did not have a suitable bat for international matches and had to rely on a teammate’s bat. The 24-year-old spinner said, “I’ve bat to play in nets, but I don’t have a suitable one for international matches. During actual games, I rely on my teammates bats & they lend me their bats. I mostly use Kushal Bhurtel bat.”
An account named ICC Asia Cricket shared Rajbanshi’s quote on the microblogging platform X, along with his photo with India captain Rohit Sharma.

Nepal lost both their matches in the Asia Cup. Pakistan beat the team by 238 runs while India won by 10 wickets. Nepal were awarded T20I status by the ICC in June 2014 and ODI status in 2018.
