Amritpal Singh, popularly known as A P Dhillon, has been winning hearts with his heartwarming gesture towards flood-affected families in Punjab. On his 33rd birthday, the Indo-Canadian rapper-singer handed over newly built houses to families that had lost homes in last year’s devastating floods.
On January 10, Dhillon visited the families to gift them the homes. In a video that has gone viral, the singer is seen interacting with elderly residents and children as he gifts them their new houses. The video captures several heartfelt moments, including Dhillon cutting his birthday cake alongside the families.
Adding to the celebration, the singer also sang for them as they gathered around, cheering and smiling. The video was shared by an Instagram handle that goes by the name @apdhillonrelated. “AP Dhillon handover houses he built for flood-affected families in Punjab on his birthday,” the caption read.

The video quickly gained traction, with several Instagram users hailing the singer for his contributions. “The way Punjabi singers step forward to help people is truly inspiring. It’s not limited to just AP Dhillon or Karan Aujla—many artists from the Punjabi industry consistently show compassion and responsibility beyond their music,” a user wrote. “Happiest b’day, great job, it’s truly appreciated,” another user commented.
“Down to earth AP bhai,” a third user reacted.
Dhillon himself commented on the video, saying, “Waheguru ji mehar rakhan (God, have mercy on us).”
The singer recently made waves during his Mumbai concert after Tara Sutaria made a surprise appearance on the stage to promote her song. Several rumours of Veer Pahariya allegedly feeling jealous of his girlfriend Sutaria’s interaction with the singer flooded the internet after videos of his reaction went viral.
Following the trolling, Sutaria and Pahariya called out the “false narratives” on Instagram.
