FBI Director Kash Patel on Wednesday said he doesn’t know offhand how many times US President Donald Trump’s name is in the Epstein files, but he’s “absolutely not implicated.” Patel faced the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday, a day after the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, which turned into a shouting match between him and Democrat Senator Adam Schiff. House Democrats grill Patel on Epstein On Wednesday, too, Patel was cornered by the House Democrats on a wide range of topics, including the Charlie Kirk murder investigation and Epstein files. Representative Jamie Raskin was the first to bring up the topic as he played a clip of a podcast appearance by Patel in which he stated that the FBI was in possession of Epstein’s infamous “black book.” “Now, the black book is under your direct control, so why haven’t you released the names of Epstein’s co-conspirators in the rape and sex trafficking of young women and girls?” Raskin asked. 'Released more material than anyone else' Patel responded, saying that the Trump administration has released more information regarding the Epstein investigation than any other administration. “We have released more material than anyone else. Before the Biden administration, Obama administration had the exact opportunities to release this material. They never did,” Patel said. Does Trump appear in Epstein files? New York Representative Dan Goldman was the next to question Patel, who directly asked the FBI Director if President Donald Trump’s name appeared in the Epstein files. “Does Donald Trump appear anywhere in the Epstein files?” he asked. “We have released where President Trump’s name is in the Epstein files – and everybody else – and all credible information that we are legally allowed to release has been released,” Patel said. An unrelenting Goldman then accused Patel of being part of a “cover up,” to which the FBI Director said: “Any allegations that I’m a part of a cover up to protect child sexual trafficking and victims of human trafficking and sexual crimes is patently and categorically false.” 'Trump not implicated' California Democrat Zoe Lofgren was next in line to grill Patel on the Epstein probe and asked the FBI chief how many times Trump's name appears in the Epstein files. "More than 100?"Lofgren asked. Patel responded, saying he did not know, but he told another Congress member that Trump is not implicated in any wrongdoing involving the late convicted sex offender. "Based on the entirety of the evidence that we have, absolutely not," Patel said when asked by Republican Tom Tiffany.
