Given a rise in Google searches for “today bank working day,” the operational status of banks across India on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, may be unclear for some.

Generally, according to the Reserve Bank of India, banks are closed on national and regional holidays, Sundays, as well as on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month.

Are banks open or closed today, February 11, 2025?

Due to the observance of the Thai Poosam and the Municipal Corporation General Election 2025 in Raipur, Jharkhand, banking institutions in Chennai and Raipur will be closed today, Tuesday, February 11.

It’s important to note that the banks in other states will operate as per their scheduled timings.

This closure is specific to these regions and is outlined in the Reserve Bank of India’s calendar for 2025, as the designated bank holidays are based on various regulations, including the Negotiable Instruments Act and RTGS holidays.

Nonetheless, physical bank branches may be closed, but online banking services will remain operational, and customers can utilise net banking, mobile banking, and UPI services without interruption.
