Over the years, e-commerce platforms have significantly transformed users’ purchasing and delivery habits. Although Amazon, eBay, and more offer great convenience, their product delivery services are often not entirely hassle-free. Recently, Ricky Kej, the Indian music composer and three-time Grammy Award winner, complained of a delivery experience with Amazon India, which caught the Internet’s eye.

In an X post, Kej shared that he had ordered a TV from the e-commerce platform. However, on the day his order arrived, delivery agents refused to deliver it to the second floor of his building. “Dear @amazonIN, I had purchased a TV, and I live on the 2nd floor of a building. The delivery guys (2 of them) refused to deliver, and they drove away even while we were speaking with them. They said Amazon does not deliver to the 2nd floor. Is this true?” Kej wrote on X.

The post quickly gained traction, sparking a range of reactions. Several users shared similar delivery issues, with one saying, “Well we ordered an AC , located on the 5th floor with no lift. Went down when the product arrived , even before the delivery guy makes faces I told him that will give u 300 to deliver. He happiled delivered the outer unit to 6th floor.”

“It’s a running syndicate of these delivery & installation agents. Amazon can’t do anything about it,” another user commented.

Responding to Kej’s post, Amazon Help said, “We apologize for the unpleasant experience you had with delivery agents. We’d like to check this further. Please reach out to us via DM, and we’ll do our best to assist. Further, please don’t include any personal or account information.”

Earlier, Kej had slammed Air India after he had to wait for nearly an hour to pay for his excess baggage at the airport.
