The lion is regarded as the king of the jungle and one of the most ferocious animals in the wild. However, an interesting video that shows a pair of lions moving away from a path when they see two rhinos approaching has confused netizens.

The undated video appears to have been recorded during a jungle safari. It was posted on Twitter by a popular account, The Figen (@TheFigen_) on Wednesday.

A Twitter user commented on the non-confrontational behaviour of the lions, “People should understand that animals never fight for pleasure. They are better than humans regarding this point. As long as there is no danger or they are not hungry or there is not any purpose for the fight. Animals will withdraw and enjoy safety.”

Another user remarked, “rhinos no joke if you go on a safari you’ll notice the driver comes super close to lions, hyenas…etc but keeps a good distance from elephants and rhinos. if you want to see hippos you have to book a car to go out at night and be escorted by an armed guard (even more dangerous)”.

In February, a female rhino, along with her calf, charged towards a tourist jeep in the Jaldapara National Park in West Bengal. As the rhino chased the tourists, the driver quickly reversed the jeep but lost control and the vehicle went off the road and overturned. The moments were captured on camera by someone in a jeep behind them. Luckily the accident led only to minor injuries and the rhino backed off just as the jeep overturned.
