‘Idiots on the road’: Couple leaves car’s steering wheel to make a reel

These days, reels or short videos on popular platforms like Instagram or Facebook have become the most popular content format on social media. People often go to great lengths to get the most outlandish shots for likes and engagement online.

They often forgo rules and indulge in dangerous stunts to get clicks. Now, one such video, showing a couple inside a car play-fighting with each other as the steering wheel lays abandoned, is going viral. Further in the video, the person in the driving seat puts his feet over the other seat’s headrest to purportedly relax. All this while, the car is without supervision.

The undated video was posted on Twitter by an auto-enthusiast that goes by the username @Xroaders_001.

While sharing this clip, the Twitter user wrote, “Just randomly happened to come across a reel !! Trust,me you would not see such a bizarre & moronic stuff related to Automobile stuff !!Unreal just for reel @anandmahindra @MahindraXUV700 it’s a travesty that we have to share roads with people like these This is just insane !!”.

In the comments, many people noted the couple was misusing advanced features in the car and urged authorities to take action against such callous driving.

Commenting on the post, a Twitter user wrote, “He may be trying Adaptive Cruise Control for the first time, imagine if Tesla comes to India he will sleep in the back seat.”
