(PTI Photo)Parliament Winter Session 2025 Day 3 Highlights: Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Wednesday slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “pro-capitalist and anti-worker mindset” after his government at the Centre implemented the four long-pending labour codes covering wages, industrial relations, social security and working conditions last month. Earlier in the day, the Opposition INDIA bloc leaders staged a protest against codes outside Parliament, ahead of the 3rd day of the Winter Session. Congress MP Manickam Tagore also moved a motion in the Lok Sabha early today, demanding “immediate discussion, accountability, and a clear timeline for real labour reforms.”
Meanwhile, Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Wednesday said snooping is neither possible nor will it happen with the Sanchar Saathi safety app, amid a row over his ministry’s order asking smartphone makers to pre-load the app on all new devices, news agency PTI reported. In the Lok Sabha, Scindia said the government want to give power in the hands of the people to help them protect themselves.

A day earlier, the Lok Sabha proceedings were stalled for the second day in a row after the Opposition protested the nationwide Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The Opposition also slammed the government mandate to preload all smartphones with the Sanchar Saathi app and push updates for existing smartphones. Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, however, said the app will be optional.
