An Indian Air Force Sergeant was among two men killed, and two others suffered injuries when the car they were travelling in skidded off the road and fell into a khud at the world-famous Bir Billing paragliding site in Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra district on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday, police said.
Police identified the victims as Sergeant Naveen Chand of Malnu Bhavarna village and Rajeev Thakur of Saloha Naina Devi village, and the injured as Akshya Kumar and Mohit Kumar.
A police officer said, “The Sergeant had come to his house on leave, while Rajeev Thakur’s kin said that he was to marry next month. A case was registered, and the police started an investigation.”
