A major Microsoft outage has left millions unplugged and scrambling, and it’s already being labelled one of the “biggest IT blunders ever”. Naturally, social media has done what it does best: flood the internet with memes.

@guyweirdness shared a screengrab of Toby McGuire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland hugging each other as Spiderman from Spiderman: No Way Home with the caption, “Corporate employees thanking that one person because of whom Microsoft is down.”

A third user on Instagram shared a video snippet from the cartoon Oggy and the Cockroaches which read, “Me watching laptop’s blue screen on Friday instead of working,” as Jack, Oggy’s elder brother, sits on a sofa and chugs a can full of juice and says, “maaza aa gaya(I am enjoying this).”

User @samwhyte on X said, “Whoever’s responsible for the Microsoft outage is getting fired anyway, so the smart thing to do would be knock Teams out for the day too and leave a hero.” The post gained a million views.

Another user shared a gif of Ryan Reynolds giving a cheeky smirk. The post said, “Shout out to Microsoft for letting everyone have an early finish on a Friday.”

One more user on X shared a photo of a woman on a telephone and described it as Liz Truss, former president of the United Kingdom, trying her best on her first day at Microsoft as IT head.
