In the clip, Instagram user Ankush captures an Indian man speaking loudly on his phone while sitting in the bar area. Despite being asked by the bartender to lower his voice, the man continued speaking loudly.
Ankush expressed frustration over the lack of civic sense among Indians, noting that he has encountered similar situations highlighting a general insensitivity in public spaces. He also compared the behaviour of Indians with that of people from countries like the US and South Korea, where loud conversations in public are uncommon.
“What do you think about people who talk loudly on their phones in public spaces without considering those around them? I have to admit, I might be guilty of this too. Why do we do it? Here’s a quick rant about someone in an airport lounge who just wouldn’t lower their voice,” Ankush wrote on Instagram.
“The bartender has told him on two occasions already…to lower his volume,” he said, adding, “We have absolutely zero civic sense.”
