Amid the buzz around humanoid robots, a ‘futuristic hospital’ in China has caught the Internet’s eye after an Indian woman recently offered a rare behind-the-scenes tour of the country’s ultra-modern public healthcare facilities.

The viral video, posted on Instagram by Pari (@_parified), captures her journey as she prepares for surgery at a Chinese public hospital. She records each stage of the pre-op routine, starting with an automated shoe-dispensing machine. After simply scanning her ID, a pair of fresh, sterile shoes drops out, without any human input.

Next, she shows an automated scrub dispenser. Once again, a quick ID scan, a size selection, and she is handed hospital scrubs through a fully mechanised system. “No waiting. No human hands required,” she said.

Pari then points to an AI-driven surgical trolley, an autonomous robot that carries medical instruments and medication across the hospital. The system is designed to minimise human error and improve efficiency during operations, she explains.

She further shows her viewers a massive digital surgery dashboard placed right in the hospital lobby. The screen displays the day’s scheduled surgeries, procedures currently underway, and those still pending. It also includes an elaborate 3D layout of the hospital, showing exactly where each surgery is happening in real time.

Just outside the operating rooms, more digital boards list the names of the chief surgeon, assistants, nursing staff, and anaesthesiologist, along with a live timer tracking the duration of each surgery. The monitors also show technical details like temperature and humidity levels inside the operating theatre.

Toward the end of the video, Pari records the post-surgery protocol, which includes an automated system for disposing of used shoes and scrubs.

“Behind every surgery is a high-tech world you’ve never seen before. From automatic shoes to AI-powered surgeries, let me show you the future of hospital prep,” she wrote in her caption.
