A teacher’s remark in a student’s report card is doing the rounds on the internet for an error that left netizens in splits. While acknowledging that the said student passed the exam, the teacher wrote in the remarks, “She has passed away.” It seems to be a report card from a school in the East African country, Malawi, where Chichewa is the national language and English the official language.
Other subjects being taught include Mathematics, English, Agriculture, Science, Social, Life Skills and Arts. The student secured seventh position in her class according to the report card from 2019. A Twitter user named Anant Bhan shared the report card with the caption, “Oh, lord Via FB.”

“This seems far worse than “passed out”, that other usage for having graduated,” commented a user. “May SHE who has passed away be blessed by almighty in her very being here & now with a long healthy happy & prosperous life.!!” joked another.
