Vajpayee getting better,say doctors

Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee,who is suffering from pneumonia and currently undergoing treatment at AIIMS,is said to be recovering. According to doctors,his chest infection has improved and his vital parameters are stable.

His condition is stable. He is responding to treatment. We cannot say when he will be discharged but he is getting better, said Dr D K Sharma,Medical Superintendent of AIIMS.

The pneumonia is under control with the prognosis being good. Gradually his oxygenation amount of oxygen in blood purified by the lungs level has shown improvement and there is no spread of pneumonia, said another doctor treating him

The 84-year-old leader was admitted to the hospital last week with complaints of fever and chest congestion. Doctors later found that he was suffering from pneumonia.
