Farah goes so all out to stuff the film with masala that most of it ends up as juvenile,there are too few moments of genuine hilarity and even the one-liners are largely devoid of punch.

Tabrez Mirza Khan,nicknamed Tees Maar Khan Akshay Kumar is a criminal a con-man actually of an international notoriety.

When the government recovers a whopper of a catch 10,000 kilos we are told! from two criminals and wants to deposit it at the National Exchequer in Delhi,Tees Maar Khan is commissioned by the criminals to recover it 8211; from the heavily-guarded moving train that carries it to the capital. TMK,who has just escaped from the cops for the umpteenth time,decides on a plan: he will lay a siege at a village en route,and since he needs many people to transfer such a huge load,his plan is to get hundreds of local villagers to cooperate with him.

He manages this by convincing the simple villagers that he is a NRI filmmaker shooting a film on freedom fighters. Top star Aatish Kappoor Akshaye Khanna is obsessed about getting an Oscar and TMK uses this to his advantage. What happens next is convoluted,crazy,intentionally mindless and devoid of logic. Trouble is,Farah goes so all out to stuff the film with masala that most of it ends up as juvenile,there are too few moments of genuine hilarity and even the one-liners are largely devoid of punch.

Unlike Farahs earlier films,Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om,the climax is not at all the highlight of the film. The somewhat open end lacks in values as the hero steals national property and yet emerges as a successful filmmaker which he has always pretended to be with his simple mother,played by Apara Mehta whose film wins the Oscar for Aatish!

Illogic which in such films must have its own logic actually is also stretched too far at many points,and unnecessary elements like the kids being rescued et al could have been dispensed with. But some ingenuity is there too 8211; like TMK learning tricks in his womb and his vacuous girlfriend who wants to be a star Katrina Kaif.

In true Farah tradition,nothing is sacred,not NRI filmmakers,not Hindi cinema and its people,and not anything else. Technically,the film is a visual treat and we must applaud in particular the cinematography P.S.Vinod,background score Kunder,choreography and the filming of the songs,which by themselves are,however,just average.

Akshay,Katrina and most of the actors do well,but Akshaye Khanna in his brief role is simply brilliant.

One star each for Akshaye Khanna,the rest of the cast and technical aspects. But the film loses a star because no one thought of making the humour wittier and funnier. They either took the film too seriously or too lightly!
