The Aditya Dhar directorial has crossed the Rs 750 crore mark domestically and the Rs 1128.63 crore mark worldwide. Now the film is finally showing some signs of strain, with daily box office collections slipping into the Rs 10-15 crore range.
The Ranveer Singh-starrer is the only non-multilingual Indian film to enter 1000 crores (without China).

Dhurandhar has already surpassed the worldwide box office collections of films such as Anil Sharma’s Gadar 2 (Rs 686 crore), Amar Kaushik’s Stree 2 (Rs 857 crore), Laxman Utekar’s Chhaava (Rs 807 crore), and Siddharth Anand’s Pathaan (Rs 1,055 crore). The film has now set its sights on the record held by Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, which earned Rs 1,160 crore worldwide.
In the coming weeks, the Ranveer Singh starrer is expected to face fresh competition from upcoming releases such as the war drama Ikkis, Prabhas’ The Raja Saab, and Vijay’s Jana Nayagan. Director Sriram Raghavan pushed Ikkis’ release to the New Year, seemingly to avoid being overshadowed by Dhurandhar’s strong box office momentum. In contrast, the makers of Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri chose not to alter their release plans. Hence, the Kartik Aaryan-Ananya Panday starrer is currently struggling at the box office, facing stiff competition from Dhurandhar as well as Avatar: Fire and Ash.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the cast of Dhurandhar includes Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan and Akshaye Khanna.
Dhurandhar has been enjoying a smooth run in the cinemas for nearly a month now. The release of Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday's Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri did not shake its collections. Now, the film faces new competition with Agastya Nanda's Ikkis. The film releases on January 1. It also marks the last release of late actor Dharmendra.
Ranveer Singh is on a holiday with wife Deepika Padukone in the US after the success of Dhurandhar. Chef Vikas Khanna recently shared a video of Ranveer and Deepika at his restaurant as they celebrated Dhurandhar with modaks.
Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar has made Rs 1128 crore at the global box office and now, the film just needs Rs 32 cror emore to surpass the lifetime worldwide collections of Shah Rukh Khan's film Jawan.
Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, is now the only Indian film that has made over Rs 1000 crore at the global box office, even though it was released only in one language. Other film, like KGF 2, Pushpa 2 and Jawan, which collected similar figures, were released in multiple languages across the country.
Ranveer Singh only said 'maine bahut mehnat ki hai (I have worked very hard)' about Dhurandhar during the promotions and after the massive success of Dhurandhar. According to trade site Sacnilk, Dhurandhar earned around Rs 3.92 Cr India net by 3 pm on its 27th day for all languages.

Bollywood Hungama shared the updated collection of Ranveer Singh's film and shared that the film's India box office Nett is of Rs 754.50 cr, while the film's India box office Gross is Rs 890.79 cr. The film's overseas Gross stands at Rs 237.84 cr, thus the Worldwide collections Gross is of Rs 1128.63 cr.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh added, "The fourth Tuesday has recorded higher collections than the fourth Monday, clearly indicating the film's extraordinary hold. Wait, the 31 Dec 2025 / 1 Jan 2026 period is expected to fuel further growth, pushing the film closer to the ₹ 800 cr milestone."

This Aditya Dhar's movie Dhurandhar will return with a sequel as well and this time it will also be available in the dubbed versions of South Indian languages. Dhurandhar 2 will release in theatres on March 19, 2026, in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
"Despite releasing only in Hindi, Dhurandhar witnessed exceptional traction across South India through word-of-mouth, social media virality and repeat viewing. South distributors and exhibitors consistently flagged strong audience demand for dubbed versions, with fans actively calling for the film to be made available in regional languages. Taking cognisance of this organic demand not just in south India but South Indian audiences globally, the makers have decided to expand the franchise’s footprint with Dhurandhar 2, ensuring audiences across regions can experience the film in their local language from day one," shared the makers earlier in a statement.
Dhurandhar is likely to arrive online sooner than expected. According to OTTplay, the film will release on Netflix on January 30, 2026. The official streaming date is yet to be announced.

What makes Ranveer Singh-starrer's collection more unique? This film is the only non-multilingual Indian film to enter the Rs 1000 crores (without China). Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 and Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan were the biggest Indian grossers in a single language, having crossed Rs 1050+ crores each in the Hindi version at the worldwide box office, before Dhurandhar surpassed them.
According to trade site Sacnilk, Aditya Dhar's spy action thriller Dhurandhar continues its phenomenal theatrical run and it is the seventh highest-grossing Indian film at the worldwide box office at the end of the 4th weekend with a collection of Rs 1100 crore plus. Other top films including Dangal, Baahubali 2, Pushpa 2, RRR, KGF 2, and Jawan.
By the next weekend, Dhurandhar is expected to become the biggest Bollywood grosser, by crossing Jawan's Rs 1160 crores worldwide collection in all versions. Aamir Khan's Dangal, however, is currently the biggest Indian grosser with Rs 2070 crores, but more than Rs 1300 crores of its collection came from China.
Trade site Sacnilk shared that after grossing Rs 90+ crores worldwide, Ranveer Singh-starrer has made a new record during the 4th weekend for a Bollywood title. It earned over Rs 1000 crores gross during the weekend, and eventually topped Prabhas' Kalki 2898 AD (Rs 1040+ crores) and Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan (Rs 1055 crores) to become the 7th highest Indian grosser of all-time.
Trade site Sacnilk shared that Ranveer Singh-starrer saw a growth of 7.14% on its 4th Tuesday. While the film made Rs 10.5 Cr on its Day 25 (4th Monday), it collected Rs 11.25 Cr on Day 26.
In an interview to The Hindu, Ikkis director Sriram Raghavan spoke about Dhurandhar, “It is a well-made film with terrific performances, but it is not our kind of film. We must understand that we are living in different times. Dhurandhar is one movie. It is doing spectacularly well, and it should. But this is not the only format. If I start following it, it will be the silliest thing to do.”
In terms of gross India box office collection, after 26 days, Dhurandhar has collected Rs 854.5 crore.
Dhurandhar is the only Hindi film to enter Rs 1000 crore club, making it the highest Indian grosser of all-time in a single language.
As per Sacnilk, Dhurandhar domestic box office collection stands at Rs 712.5 crore. The film earned Rs 11.25 crore on fourth Tuesday.
Dhurandhar again improved its earnings on fourth Tuesday after seeing a dip on Monday. It earned Rs 11.25 crore on day 26 of its theatrical run, maintaining a stronghold at the box office and ensuring 26 conscutive days when it has earned in two figures.
