A major business dispute in Mohali has taken a criminal turn. Based on a complaint by Noida-based contractor Love Anand, the IT City police has registered a case against Mumbai-based Ensemble Infrastructure India Limited, its directors, and employees on charges of fraud, criminal breach of trust, unauthorised entry, and theft.
According to the complaint, in April 2025, officials from Ensemble Infrastructure approached Love Anand to award him the electrical and LV work contract for a project in Sector 82. The total work order was valued at approximately Rs 1.41 crore (including GST). Relying on the company’s assurances, Anand invested heavily in materials, equipment, and manpower to commence the work.
By June 2025, work worth around Rs 86 lakh had been completed and materials supplied, but payments were repeatedly delayed. Anand alleged that the company “deliberately refused to release further bills, withheld essential drawings and materials, and blocked payments totalling around Rs 80–85 lakh”.
The complaint states that on August 16, 2025, the accused “broke the lock of our onsite store, illegally took possession of expensive tools, machines, and materials, and began using them without authorisation”.
The matter was investigated by DSP (Urban-2), Mohali, who confirmed the allegations. Based on the investigation report, the Mohali SSP directed the registration of a formal case under sections 316(2) and 318(4) of the BNS Act at IT City police station.
The case names Ensemble Infrastructure India Limited and a total of five individuals as accused, including directors Vikas Rathore and Alpa Bhavsar.
