Rajasthan inks deal with HPCL

Moily told reporters on the sidelines of the event that the government has worked out a concerted programme to cut 50 per cent of petroleum imports by 2020 and 75 percent by 2025.

The Rajasthan government inked the much-awaited Barmer oil refinery deal with Hindustan Petroleum Corp Ltd HPCL on Thursday to set up a 9 MMTPA refinery-cum-petroleum complex in Barmer. Petroleum minister M Veerappa Moily said that the UPA is working towards making the nation self-sufficient in petroleum by 2030.

Moily told reporters on the sidelines of the event that the government has worked out a concerted programme to cut 50 per cent of petroleum imports by 2020 and 75 percent by 2025.
