CISF jawan stabbed to death

HOSHANGABAD MP: CISF jawan M G Khandare,deployed at Security Paper Mill in Hoshangabad,was Sunday stabbed to death by three persons near Sai Mandir when he was out to buy vegetable. A case of murder has been registered and hunt is on to trace the accused,police said.

Sabarimala to open on November 11

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The sanctums sanctorum of Mallikapuram,Naga and Ganesh temples at Sabarimala Ayyappa hill shrine would be covered with gold and the shrine be opened on November 11 for Kumbabhishekam,Travancore Devaswom Board said in a statement Sunday. The temple would be closed on the night of November 14 after poojas and opened again for the two-month long Mandala pooja festival on November 15,the statement said.

J-K crash: Body of missing officer found

JAMMU: Eight days after an IAF helicopter crashed into river Chenab in Jamp;K,the decomposed body of a missingand as yet unidentified IAF officerwas fished out from the river Sunday. A MI-17 helicopter,carrying four IAF men Rajiv Garg,Y S Tomar,K Singh and Deepak crashed into Chenab on October 30. Gargs body was recovered the same day and Navy divers were called in to locate the other three bodies.

One killed in Nashik bus accident

Nashik: A person was killed and 35 others injured when a bus they were travelling in skidded off the Ghoti-Sinnar road and overturned in Maharashtras Nashik district on Sunday,police said. The bus was on its way to Shirdi from Mumbai. The injured have been admitted to a hospital in Sinnar.
