Brothers killed in Northeast Delhi: Two from Hashim Baba gang arrested

On December 16, 2025, Nadeem and Fazeel were shot dead by three motorcycle-borne men who allegedly pumped around 50 bullets into them. Police said the murders were meticulously planned and the assailants lay in wait for nearly half-an-hour before opening fire. Both victims died on the spot.

During the probe, it was found that the brothers were allegedly part of an arms supply syndicate, run by Salim Ahmad alias Salim Pistol, a top arms supplier, police said.

“The murders appeared to be retaliatory killings linked to illegal arms dealing. In August 2025, Saleem Pistol was arrested by the Special Cell. He told police that Nadeem was involved in illicit arms dealings,” said DCP (Crime Branch) Vikram Singh.

“Nadeem (was questioned and he) disclosed the Danish’s name… Since then, Danish had been absconding… He allegedly planned a revenge against Nadeem for revealing his name,” Singh said. On Thursday, following a tip-off, police laid a trap at Ghazipur Paper Market. “When the police attempted to arrest them, they opened fire…. Officers retaliated, injuring both men,” an officer said.
