Mukhiya son to campaign against JDU candidate

Miffed with the marginalisation of upper castes under the present dispensation and a tardy investigation into the murder of his father, the son of Barmeshwar Mukhiya is all set to campaign against JDU candidate P K Shahi in the Maharajganj Lok Sabha bypoll,to be held early next month. Mukhiya, the chief of Ranvir Sena, the disbanded private army of upper castes, was gunned down by unidentified men in June last year.

Mukhiyas son and national president of Akhil Bharatiya Rashtrawadi Kisan Sangathan ABRKS Kumar Indubushan told The Indian Express : I will be going to Maharajganj on May 27 to start interacting with people and telling them to choose the right candidate, who can take care of their interest. After all, they have got little in the past seven years. He,however, added that he would not make any public speech and just give his message to the people without directly attacking Chief Minister Nitish Kumar or JDU candidate Shahi.

Indubhushan said the majority of people of Bhojpur and adjoining Saran regions have not been happy with Nitish Kumars brand of selective social engineering. Ever since my father was killed in June last year, the Chief Minister did not visit Ara,nor did he meet my family. He could have come here to console us and win our confidence during Adhikar Yatra or could have visited here even during the ongoing Sewa Yatra but he chose to ignore us. Though the state government had decided to hand over my fathers murder probe to the CBI,the investigating agency has not taken over the case yet, said Indubhushan.

He said he had been associated with the organisation set up by his father to unite farmers. Land acquisition policy of the government is not fair and farmers are not getting fertilisers on time because of black marketing. When the present government is not willing to hear us,I have every right to go to the people, he said and added that he would announce his future course of action on June 1,the first death anniversary of his father.
