Mobile phone for senior citizens

The company also launched a waterproof handset which floats.

At the time when most mobile companies are focusing on the youth and the mass market to meet the monthly demand for 20 million handsets,one was launched for senior citizens on Saturday.

“This handset has large keypads for easy viewing and dialling and has an SOS switch for physical alarm and calls to five preset numbers,” Best IT World (India) VP Dinesh Mohta said here.

The handset is priced at Rs 3250.

The company also launched a waterproof handset which floats.

Mohta said the company was aiming for a three per cent marketshare till 2012.
