Mizoram counting today

Counting of votes for the 40-member Mizoram Assembly,elections to which were held on November 25,will be held on Monday. State Joint Chief Electoral Officer H Lalengmawia said on Sunday that elaborate security arrangements had been made at counting centres in the eight districts. Director-General of Election Commission of India Ashish Srivastava and a number of observers had arrived to oversee the process,he said.

In all,142 candidates,including six women,are in the fray.
