After Asus launched convertible all-in-one computers last month, the company has unveiled Transformer TX 300,a 13.3-inch notebook with a removable display that serves as a tablet. The TX 300 runs Windows 8 in both tablet and laptop modes, but comes with an older third generation Intel Core i5 processor. The fourth generation processors offer tremendous battery life improvements, and should have been used in this hybrid device. For this model,Asus claims a battery life of five hours laptop and eight hours tablet. The keyboard is backlit, which is good news for those who work in the dark.

Better late than never
LGs flagship smartphone arrives when most of its competitors have already been around in the market for some time. The newest member of the LG Optimus family has a 5.5-inch display which has Full HD resolution with an impressive pixel density of 400 ppi. Optimus G Pro has a 3,140 mAh removable battery, which LG says provides up to 21 hours of talktime. LG offers a generous 32GB internal memory on the phone besides microSD support. It runs Android Jelly Bean OS 4.1. Even though the phone has a huge display,it provides good grip due to narrowed width and a sleek 3.65mm bezel.
