Samsung Series 9

Samsung has launched the second generation of its flagship laptop Series 9. The company calls it the worlds thinnest laptop 12.9 mm. It weighs just 1.16 kg. The laptop has an Intel Sandy Bridge Core i7 processor,a 256GB solid state drive and 4GB RAM. Its display is 13.3 inches at 1600215;900 pixels,but the laptop has no dedicated graphics card. However,Series 9 does not offer enough to prompt buyers to go for it over the Macbook Air.

Sennheiser HD 700

Sennheiser launched HD 700,its high-end open and circumaural headphones,in India last week. The company says the styling and material selection for HD 700 has been done with a lot of attention to detail to ensure the best sound quality. The headphones are paired with specially-tuned,efficient drivers. The company says the ear cups are designed so that sound waves are directed to the ears at a slight angle,for a more natural listening experience. The ear cushions are made of high-quality microfibre fabric,which should provide excellent wearing comfort.

WD My Net N900 Central

Western Digital has launched its My Net family of dual-band routers in India. These are wireless networking products that can filter traffic on the network. This means that if you are downloading a file and watching a video,the router will slow the download so that the video does not stutter. The My Net family use WDs FasTrack technology,which helps to instantly detect entertainment traffic on the network,and not slow it down on connected devices. The MyNet N900 Central comes with 1TB storage space.

FUJITSU LIFEBOOK U772

Fujitsu launched two ultrabooks Lifebook U772 and Lifebook UH572. U772 is 16 mm thick and weighs 1.4 kg. It has a 14-inch screen. Its Advanced Theft Protection Technology helps users track the laptop; and copy or delete data remotely. The ultrabook also offers optional built-in 3G or 4G connectivity. With its AnytimeUSB Charge function,mobile and tablets can be charged even when U772 is switched off. Its counterpart UH572 has a 13.3-inch screen,weighs 1.6 kg and costs Rs 65,000.
