Woman riding two-wheeler run over by tipper in Zirakpur

A 32-year-old woman riding a two-wheeler lost her life in a road accident in Mohali on Tuesday afternoon. The deceased has been identified as Anuj Devi, a resident of Model Complex, Sector 13, Chandigarh.

According to the police, Anuj Devi had gone to Macdi Chowk in Zirakpur to pick up her sister, Babli. While returning home together on the Activa, a tipper approaching from behind rammed into her two-wheeler near Decathlon. The impact was so severe that the rear tyre of the tipper ran over Anuj Devi, leaving her critically injured.

Passersby immediately alerted the police and rushed the injured woman to the hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries during treatment. The incident led to chaos in the area, with traffic coming to a halt for some time.
