LUCKNOW: A convict on Tuesday allegedly committed suicide by hanging from the iron railing of the staircase leading to the rooftop of the Lucknow district jail,where former deputy CMO Y S Sachan was found dead in mysterious circumstances on June 22. However,no suicide note was found.

Cop shoots at lover, daughter,kills self

LUCKNOW: A constable of the special operation group of Aligarh police,Rajesh Kumar 35,shot at his paramour and her daughter at their residence,before shooting himself to death in Civil Lines police station area on Tuesday. Both mother and daughter are critical.

Liquor: Minister firm on raising age

MUMBAI: Maharashtra Minister for Social Justice Shivaji Moghe said on Tuesday that his department remained firm on raising the age limit for consuming liquor to 25 years. Even if a person decides to consume liquor,we want it to be as late in life as possible, he said.
