Proper ticket system in place: Congress
Bangalore: Ghulam Nabi Azad,in charge of the Congresss Tamil Nadu affairs,said no individual could be held responsible for distribution of tickets. Asked about state Congress chief K V Thangkabalu nominating his wife and close aides,he said,I dont think he alone distributes tickets. We have a proper system,so no individual person can or should be held responsible.
CPI expels rebel in Tamil Nadu
Dharmapuri: The CPI expelled Dharmapuri district executive committee member S Rajendran from primary membership for going against the party policy of supporting AIADMK-combine candidates in Tamil Nadu. Rajendran had filed a nomination as an Independent against CPM candidate P Dillybabu for Harur SC constituency.
Naidu predicts UPA exit,mid-term polls
Tezpur/Mariani: BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu predicted mid-term Lok Sabha polls as the UPA would go within six months on the issue of corruption. The people of India are weeping but Manmohanji and Soniaji are sleeping, he said in poll-bound Assam.
