‘Don’t have husband to protect me’: Pawan Kalyan’s ex-wife Renu Desai responds to trolling a day after losing cool at press meet
Renu Desai took to social media to respond to the trolling she has been facing. She expressed that she doesn’t have anyone to protect her and emphasized that her fight is not for personal gain, as she isn’t receiving any money for her efforts.
Renu Desai lost her cool during a press conference about street dogs on Monday.
On Monday, Renu Desai, the ex-wife of Pawan Kalyan, made headlines following a heated argument with an individual who reportedly attempted to charge at her during a press conference held to raise awareness about street dogs. Following the event, she posted a clarification and called out trolls who were dragging her ex-husband, Pawan Kalyan, and their children into the discussion. Now, on Tuesday, she has shared another message on Instagram to address the online negativity.
In a reel posted from a boat at the Varanasi ghat, the text read: “I don’t have a father or mother or an elder brother or a husband to protect me. All the hate that you spew on me for no fault of mine I just calmly share with Devi and Mahadev. I know that they hear my pain and see my tears.” The post’s caption further emphasized her stance: “I never fought for my own personal rights in public ever. But I will scream and shout till everyone understands that killing all innocent dogs just for the mistakes of some aggressive dogs is wrong. You can talk as much negative and hateful nonsense about me, but just remember whose presence I share my pain and tears with.”

For the unversed, on Monday, a video went viral showing Renu Desai arguing with a 55-year-old man who reportedly tried to hit her. Responding to the backlash, she posted a video addressing the trolls: “I have seen some comments on my way home. How correct is it to comment on my personal life? You’re saying that’s why Pawan Kalyan left me, that I am cranky. Do I get any money while fighting for street dogs? I am not even fighting for them; I am fighting for human life. And you’re making such disgusting comments. You even said I would learn a lesson if my children died from dog bites. Why would you say that? I am a mother who knows the value of life.”
After divorcing his first wife, Nandini, in 2008, actor-politician Pawan Kalyan married Renu in 2009. The couple had already welcomed a son, Akira, in 2004. They had a daughter in 2010, but eventually separated in 2012. Pawan later married Russian actress Anna Lezhneva in 2013.
