Christians to take out rally on Dec 4
A steering committee headed by Godfrey de Rozario, Bishop of Vadodara, has resolved to take out a rally on December 4 in protest against the atrocities on Christians in the state. The rally will start at 9 am from Rosary School in Fatehgunj and culminate outside the district collector’s office at 11.30 am, after passing through ST Depot, Kalaghoda and Aradhna Cinema. A memorandum will be submitted to the collector by the rallyists. About 10,000 persons are likely to participate in the rally. Meanwhile, Vishwa Hindu Parishad organisation secretary P S Yogi said that his office had so far not received any instruction from its state unit in Ahmedabad to organise a counter rally.

No water
Residents of Sindhwai Mata Road, Pratapnagar, Danteshwar and Makarpura Road will not get the evening water supply on Wednesday as the VMC will repair a water pipeline on the Sindhwai Mata Road.

Withdrawn
President of the Harijan Sevak Sangh trust Jatin Modi on Tuesday withdrew his letter, from the office of Charity Commissioner, by which he had sought permission for sale of a piece of land belonging to Velchand Banker Harijan Hostel in Karelibaug. The HSS move was opposed by Dalit Sangram Samiti.

Teachers’ rally
Teachers of Vadodara city and district schools will take out a rally on Thursday to demand pay scales according to the Fifth Pay Commission recommendations.
