Two on fast hospitalised

CHANDIGARH, April 12: Paramjit Singh Bheowra and Jagtar Singh Tara, who have been on fast-unto-death, in protest against the denial of right for baptism since April 5, have reportedly lost 9 kg of weight each. The other fasting undertrials Baghel Singh and Jaspal Singh Dhillon were today shifted to General Hospital after their condition deteriorated.It8217;s further learnt that the undertrials will continue their fast until they are granted permission for baptism which, they feel, is their right as Sikhs.

It may be recalled that they declared their intent to go on a fast-unto-death here on April 5 after their applications seeking permission for baptism was dismissed.
