Congress got its share of Bollywood when noted music director and singer Bappi Lahiri joined the party with his family, singing praises of Sonia Gandhi. 8216;8216;Janta ki maa Soniaji, desh ki mang Soniaji,8217;8217; he sang and said joining the Congress was 8216;8216;a dream come true8217;8217;. Wearing his trademark sunglasses and dressed in a spotless white suit, Lahiri said he would campaign for the Congress through his music. 8216;8216;My entire family has joined,8217;8217; he said introducing son Bappa, daughter Rema and wife Chitra. The music director said he would campaign along with his family. 8216;8216;I8217;m not going to fight the elections. I will campaign for a month,8217;8217; he said. On why he had joined the party, he said: 8216;8216;I am joining because my heart told me to.8217;8217; He wouldn8217;t hazard a guess on the poll prospects, though. 8216;8216;You can8217;t predict these things. You can8217;t tell which side the wind will blow.8217;8217; Later, swamped by the media, Lahiri8217;s daughter Rema, who recently cut an album, also broke into song. Meanwhile, music director and composer Ravinder Jain, known for his title score for Ramanand Sagar8217;s Ramayan, will join the party tomorrow.
