Haryana Finance Minister Birender Singh recommended the suspension of a block education officer, a junior engineer and a teacher in-charge on Saturday, during the monthly meeting of the district grievances committee.
The three officials were charged with the misuse of funds and were held responsible for the poor quality of work during the construction of a room under the Sarva Shiksa Abhiyan in the Government Primary School of Kharonda village. Singh also recommended departmental action against the erring officials after an inquiry is conducted.
The committee addressed nine out of a total of 15 complaints on the spot. The minister also asked the regional officer RO of the Haryana Pollution Control Board to issue a show cause notice to HSIIDC, DLF and ABW Company for not making proper arrangements for waste water drainage in Manesar village, because of which the residents were being forced to live in unhygienic conditions. The senior manager of HSIIDC told the committee that the corporation had spent Rs 126 lakh on water supply and a sewage system in Manesar.
Singh asked HUDA Administrator G Anupama to look into a complaint by residents of Sector 4, seeking repairs of an overhead service reservoir, which they said was constructed 35 years ago and was unfit for storing water.
