Emraan Hashmi-starrer Taskaree outperforms Aryan Khan’s Ba***ds of Bollywood; among Netflix’s highest viewed non-English show globally

Emraan Hashmi-starrer Taskaree has outperformed Ba***ds of Bollywood.

Emraan Hashmi-starrer Taskaree dropped on Netflix on January 14 and within a week, the show has climbed to the top of Netflix’s Top 10 Non-English shows globally. Taskaree is the only Indian show on the list. Recently, Kunal Kemmu-starrer Single Papa also managed to make it to the list and stayed there for two weeks, but the highest spot it gained was at number 6. In its first week, Taskaree has done better numbers than Aryan Khan’s The Ba***ds of Bollywood, which debuted on this list at number 4 upon its release in September.

The Neeraj Pandey show, which has Emraan playing the role of a customs officer, managed to get 5.4 million views with 29.4 million hours viewed. The number of views that a show has received does not indicate the number of viewers who are watching the show. As per Netflix, the views are calculated by “total hours viewed divided by runtime.”

The show on the second spot is the Korean series Can This Love Be Translated? which got 4 million views with 53.2 million hours viewed. It is to be noted that that the total run time of Taskaree is 5 hours and 24 minutes, and for Can This Love Be Translated?, the run time is 13 hours and 11 minutes. While calculating the number of views, the run time of the show is of key significance.

Previously, Single Papa, starring Kunal Kemmu, which released on December 12, made it on the list during its first week. The show entered the list at the ninth spot with 1.5 million views and 6.1 million hours viewed. During the second week of the show, it rose up to the sixth rank with 2.8 million views and 11.2 million hours viewed. The total run time of the show was 3 hours and 58 minutes. The show went missing from this list from its third week.

Before that, Aryan Khan’s much-hyped show, The Ba***ds of Bollywood, which released in September 2025 also stayed in this list for three weeks. The show entered the top 10 list on the 4th spot with 2.8 million views and 14.8 million hours viewed. During the second week, it stayed in the same position with 3.2 million views and 16.9 million hours viewed. In the third week, the show slipped to the last spot with 1.4 million views and 7.3 million hours viewed. The show had a total run time of 5 hours and 20 minutes.

It is yet to be seen if Taskaree can retain its position in the second week.
