The Pakistani Supreme Court will hear arguments on former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s eligibility to stand in a parliamentary by-election; the same court had earlier ordered postponement of the by-election scheduled for June 26, when the Pakistan People’s Party-led government appealed against the Lahore High Court decision ruling him ineligible to contest elections.
