In an effort to tackle rising pollution levels in the Capital, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has begun installing anti-smog guns and mist spray systems at stations.
According to an official statement on Thursday, 83 anti-smog guns are already in place at DMRC construction sites, with 20 more to be set up later this month. Officials said that mist spray systems have been fitted at 37 stations, with priority given to those located on busy roads.
Stations located on main roads are being given priority, and the majority of this work is targeted to be completed by January 20. At locations where anti-smog guns are not available, the installation of mist spray systems are mandatory.
