JUNGLE
Ramgopal Varma sets his latest film bang in the middle of the forests, with a Veerappan-inspired villain chasing Urmila Matondkar and Fardeen Khan all over the place. Sunil Shetty, in hot pursuit of this baddie, plays a pivotal part as well. Look out for a breakthrough performance by that good-looking son of actor-director Feroz Khan.

BETI NO 1
Don8217;t know what to expect with this Govinda-Rambha starrer which has an awfully uninspired music score by the usually dependable Viju Shah. There may not be much of a story to fall back on, but the presence of Govinda ensures that it won8217;t be a total waste of time either!

KUNWARA
There8217;s still more Govinda. And this time he8217;s pairing up with David Dhawan for a remake of A Walk In The Clouds. Before you howl in protest, rest assured that it8217;s an entirely Indianised version of that Keanu Reeves romance, and there8217;s Urmila Matondkar for good measure.

GHAATH
If this one seems to remind you a lot of Shool, then it8217;s merely a coincidence, say the film-makers. Featuring Manoj Bajpai and Tabu, this is a hard-hitting story, we are told, but is entirely original in its concept and treatment. Enough of the PR babble, get on with your job, okay?

DEEWANE
Still more Urmila Matondkar. This one8217;s a romance with Ajay Devgan, who, incidentally, plays a double role in this movie. Glam-doll Mahima Chaudhary plays the other guy8217;s love interest, and producer-director Harry Baweja says we can expect some exciting thrills this time round.

DHADKAN
No clue what to expect from Dharmesh Darshan after Mela, but the inside buzz says he8217;s done a fine job with this love triangle starring Akshay Kumar, Shilpa Shetty and Sunil Shetty. Recently added to the cast, Mahima Chaudhary plays a strong role as well. But the one to watch out for here, is sensous Shilpa Shetty who dons a silky simple avtaar, and delivers a performance worth raving about.

TERA JADOO CHAL GAYA
Abhishek Bachchan gets rid of that stubble, goes in for a shaven-n-shorn look and woos newcomer Keerthi Reddy all over the globe in this breezy romance produced by Vashu Bhagnani, and directed by editor A Muthu who takes on directorial responsibilities for the first time.

HAR DIL JO PYAR KAREGA
Raj Kanwar directs Salman Khan, Rani Mukherji and Preity Zinta in this local version of that Adam Sandler comedy, The Wedding Singer. There8217;s some theek-thaak music by Anu Malik, but the promos suggest that Rani Mukherji is looking better than ever before.

RAJA KO RANI SE PYAR HO GAYA
Maneka Gandhi may have screamed her lungs out protesting against the torture that the film-makers have supposedly caused to the baby elephant who teams with Manisha Koirala and Arvind Swamy in this film, but that isn8217;t going to deter producer R Mohan from making sure his film is promoted in a big way. There8217;s a whole lot of kids, some brilliant music, and that jumbo for good measure!

AJNABI
Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol, Kareena Kapoor and Bipasha Basu get together for this bold remake of that controversial wife-swapping film, Consenting Adults. At the helm of affairs, are directors Abbas-Mustan who have shot this film all over those snow-capped peaks of the Alps.

HAMARA DIL AAPKE PAAS HAI
The story of a rape victim and life following the heinous crime, Aishwarya Rai is paired opposite Anil Kapoor in this Satish Kaushik-directed drama which also stars Sonali Bendre. Produced by Boney Kapoor, insiders say there8217;s a smashing soundtrack by Sanjeev-Darshan.

ZUBEIDA
Shyam Benegal returns with a film featuring mainstream favourites Rekha and Karisma Kapoor. The script, penned by film critic Khalid Mohammed, is semi-autobiographical, and is supposedly close on the lines of Mammo and Sardari Begum.

MUJHE MERI BIWI SE BACHAO
Prakash Mehra produces this comedy starring Rekha, Naseeruddin Shah, Arshad Warsi, Mukul Dev and Suman Ranganathan. Directed by Harry Baweja, it is, apparently, a rip-roaring laugh-riot that will leave you rolling in the aisles.

JODI NO 1
If you8217;ve still not had your fill of Govinda, he will be back later in the year with Sanjay Dutt in this film directed by David Dhawan again. Expect plenty of gaffes, plenty of gags, and some splendidly shot dance numbers.

NA TUM JANO NA HUM
Hrithik Roshan and Esha Deol get cosy for this contemporary love story directed by Arjun Sablok. There8217;s also Saif Ali Khan and Lisa Ray, we8217;re told.
