Ten days after he told the DPM that ex-Maharashtra deputy CM Chhagan Bhujbal and Karnataka Minister for Small Scale Industries Roshan Baig were involved in the fake stamp paper scam, Abdul Rehman, the Supreme Court advocate representing Abdul Karim Telgi, rushed to Karnataka Bhavan today and sought police protection for his visit to Bangalore. He said that ever since he named Baig and Bhujbal in his meeting with L.K. Advani, the atmosphere in Bangalore was surcharged.

He also claimed that he had been getting threat calls ever since he named the two. When pointed out that Telgi told the media today in Bangalore that he had never allowed Rehman to publicly name the other people involved in the scam, Rehman said his client was under tremendous pressure.
