Tech innovation centre at IITB

Technological entrepreneurship at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay IITB is set to receive a boost with the establishment of the Rahul Bajaj Technology Innovation Centre on its campus. The centre will not just house the 17 start ups incubated at the Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship SINE, an 8216;umbrella for promotion for entrepreneurship8217; at the IITB, but is also expected to nurture over 50 companies once its set up. According to Ashok Misra, director, IITB, the technology centre would comprise a six to seven floored building with two of its floors reserved for a rotating exhibition showcasing the technological developments at IITB. 8220;Through this exhibition, people will be able to see the excitement of innovation by the IITians,8221; said Ashok Misra.
